This Privacy Policy describes how InnerJourneyFocus ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Brilliant Steps mobile application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

Brilliant Steps collects only the minimum information necessary to provide its service. This includes:

• Name: Provided by you during onboarding. Used to personalize your experience within the app.
• Task and session data: Information about tasks you enter, steps you complete, and how you interact with the app (such as when you get stuck or pause). This data is stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences and is used to personalize AI responses.
• User-provided text and voice input: Text you type or speak during a session. This is sent to the Anthropic API to generate AI responses and is not permanently stored by us.
• Photos (optional): If you choose to take or upload a photo of a task, that image is sent to the Anthropic API for processing and is not stored by us after the response is generated.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to operate and improve the Brilliant Steps app. Specifically:

• To generate AI-powered task breakdowns and coaching responses through the Anthropic API
• To personalize your experience based on your task history and preferences
• To improve the accuracy and helpfulness of future AI responses within your sessions

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Brilliant Steps service.

3. Third-Party Services

Brilliant Steps uses the following third-party service:

• Anthropic API: Your task text, voice input, and optional photos are sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI responses. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not share your name or profile data with Anthropic.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

4. Data Storage

Your profile information and task history are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences system. This data does not leave your device except when task text or photos are sent to the Anthropic API to generate responses.

We do not operate our own servers or databases that store your personal information.

5. Children's Privacy

Brilliant Steps is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at the email below and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information stored on your device at any time through the app
• Delete your profile and all associated data by uninstalling the app, which removes all locally stored data
• Contact us with any questions or concerns about your data

7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. API communications are encrypted in transit. Your local profile data is stored using Android's built-in secure storage system. We do not store API keys or sensitive credentials in publicly accessible locations.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
